I would like to be able to bisque fire this pot tonight, but it is very wet. You can see that there’s still moisture on the surface of the pot before I put it into the kiln. The idea here is to heat the kiln up to 185°F and let the kiln soak until no moisture forms on the little cosmetic mirror. This ended up taking about 4 1/2 hours. But this is a very safe way of making sure that the pot is completely dry, and will not explode when the temperature goes above the boiling point of water. . . New
